An 'idea' can become repulsive....

We've all being subjected to the horryingly regular sec ads of Idea's now totall exhausted repulsive ad campaign... 'Get Idea' god my hands are actually trembling keying the dreaded statement... its made Abhishek Bachhan intolerable , network untraceable and ads unbearable... who the heck handles idea's account... heck give me a sec .. i definitely need to google this...hmmm. so it seems its 'Lowe' as the first search result reveals - http://www.bestmediainfo.com/2010/11/idea-launches-no-idea-get-idea-campaign/


Well the earlier ads focussed on MNP- Mobile number portability campaign were to the point... but yes the regular placement turned out more like a harassment during tube time... And the icing on the cake was MNP tranforming into NNP- No network permanently...  Now that my strike period was over and I have survived the jatkaas every evening on star world thanks to goddamn idea... strike 2 comes

Fighting space is undoubtedly diifcult to capture with the competing brands from versatile fields ...but at the same time what leaves impact is the ad uniqueness - Read the 'brrrrrh' campaign /..very subtle and apt...

Alas what idea idea comes up is to get idea.. and keep cricket clean... hmmmm very predictable.. lets sign up all these big cricketers and make them say the cliche statement.. not working mr.idea not working at all..

No doubt the campaign was successful in recall of the ad (well we techniclaly didnt have any option did we;p)..but at the same time, idea 's become the new butt out joke...

 The 3 g's campaign,... what the heck are idea guys paying Lowe for? Heck if they wanted viewer harrasment i could have made a p.o.a for free... \

Surprisingly ever since these ads have come out i have had more problems with my idea number... no connectivity... low signals in city area...

Are idea guys actually working on these... strong statements ..weak prove.. time to spend on what matters more or the next step .. make idea reach its cutomers.. not just the paid spaces... Get the idea mate? Work on it! The idea will definitely ground itself then.. take example of airtel's new campaign- the song.. beautiful, recallable and not in your face.........audio and visual appeal matters more than excessive brand placement,,,

This idea will deifinitely change your brand sirji;p

The new M.Y.B.

The new M.Y.b. that seriously need to become the trend is 'Mind Your Business', one statement kept hounding me... 'India main kuch aur nahi sahi free advise zaroor milega.. whether you like it or not...' True to some extent that everyone known, unknown, heard, unheard... has an opinion and mind you it will creep in throught those well sealed cracks as well.. Sharing a few of these statements .. if you please ;p...Being a 25 year old single woman.. everyone thinks I'm reaching so-called the 'expiry age' (Hey I really cant help it if men are willing to get married at 23 .. isnt that child marriage???.. there i go beginning this futile exercise or revelation... with my very own opinion;p... anyways each one to their own... so that's the first opinion or advise i hear... why haven't i found my prince charming... well i guess aunty... he must have gone looking for the poisonous apple first;p... sigh!!! no prince charming for me... ... sigh daily exercise of finding has become habitual and cumbersome... the second one i get to here.. you're too experimental... hold you horses .. experimental??? now where did that come from??? i have to actually one experiment before being that experimental???;p .. career wise i mean of course... jus coz destiny had the sugary coated role sorted out for me.. and surprisingly i survived a bit of it.. does not mean i stick to it... call it immaturity.. i call it pursuit of happyness:)... finding my own bits and pieces of happiness... p..


Dealing with such poking statements can be exhausting and testing at times but heck we learn to live with it... But the most hurtful ones come from the exes.. oh yes.. mind you the exes will always have an opinion ... on making it, breaking it.. taking it... hating it.. everything... Recently a so-called ex didnt miss the opportunity to miss sarcasm on what ground rules need to be laid for workplace PDAs.. mind you he finally came out with his sickeningly florescent odours;p... the audacity to even ask.. but surpriisngly that lil thing made me realise how much happy i was better of without it........ Baby its not you its the blues and the sparkling delights that get me back... sigh! unfortunately i need to find another 'shack'.......... Then there's another opinion i heard .. 'damn you.. why cant you just be carefree for a while'.. carefree yes stupid no my dear... you're totally not worth it... when platonic grounds are laid the foundation is difficult to tamper with.....

Oh then there's another one an ex's 'circuit' sends a representative to discuss relations... wTF.. who the hell are you to raise that question.. hey if you cnt deal with truth slapping your face constantly i totally cant help it...

Your clothes, your ugs, your dogs, your house, your friends,, youre choice in life,.. every single detail is uprooted and cscrutinised... heck what is left is only to get the bloody fangs out........well if you cant deal with brutality who asked you to give the opinion... shut up and just deal with it...

Yes, my dear.. Finally I have the guts to not write anonymously ... Bring it on.. thing i love, things i hate.. and things well.. hat i just cant decide on the right emotion for them.. I dare to bear it on the harshly kept keys;p..(thanks to that extra pressure i put on typing hard and fast;p)... Lets begin with a recent article i read on some lady (god knows what her name was..(a celebrity of course) who fainted as a result of attempting to carry off two sizes small gown at the red carpet. What was she thinking? would the love handles well become the screws? or would the bulging out bosom cover or draw attention away from The bulges.. Sigh I fail to understand... In these times, when size zero is sought after.. and well im still living with the size 14 .. you can well imagine how it feels.. yes im envious about the abs, the toned shapes.. but at the same time.. was'nt being health also about being fit - by fit i mean have strength, stamina and making food your friend rather than detesting it... i so dont want to have the anorexic look..  and yes im working towards being fitter and comparatively lighter but what to do im still a hard core foodie.. with the ginormous sweet tooth.. i dig in and then the weight try digging that out;p... its a vicious circle i tell you... But yes no matter what shape i am.. im happy and comfortable to carry new trends, new looks but not incorporating to make me 'in'.. hey i thought i was always 'in'... I think a sweatshirt compliments me as much as a heavily embossed sari or even a pencil skirt... If i feel good , if im comfortable and happy. it shows... Ladies and gentlemen (oh yes its for you as well). please dont make those blunders of trying to show more than what can be handled;p... when you definitely cannot carry it off.... A fabric cannot change your thinking .. but they can definitely show that you care.. But if it doesnt go well what comes out from your vocal cords.. well they arent adding to anything...

 

I just came across this interesting quote by Hari Menon( photographer)-  'When people ask what equipment i use- i tell them my eyes'. Like photography appeals depending whats captured, what's focused and not focused and the emotion.. similarly any fashion, casual, business attire has to be carefully chosen.. not by copying but making your own choices, combination and using the most important power to define them.. 'you'..

So indulge and not bulge out to fit in... A happy comfortable person is always in fashion.:)
